BusyLamp has achieved the ISO/IEC 27001 information security standard certification, part of the ISO/IEC 27000 family of standards.
The certification requires a system that brings information security under a framework with specific policies and procedures around risk identification, implications and control. It is subject to annual review audits. This development relieves BusyLamp clients of conducting their own regular audits.
Certification included an assessment of potential risks, implementing an information management system, maintenance of the information security policy, third party incident reporting including contractor training, and securing IT systems against the latest vulnerabilities.
Sven Listing, VP Product Management, who led the project says, “The certification demonstrates that BusyLamp has robust policies, workflows and procedures in place that ensure enterprise-level handling of information, risks and incidents. Operational and development standards also follow the ISO 27001 requirements, so our clients benefit from our well-oiled and reliable products and service”.
BusyLamp Co-Founder and Co-CEO, Michael Tal comments, “The ISO/IEC 27001 certification means BusyLamp clients are assured we have information security as a top priority. Our clients trust us with sensitive data and we have a duty to protect this as best we can. We take this responsibility very seriously”.
